  1. Louise Latham is absolutely right. Tippi Hedren was mediocre in Marnie. If she was good in The Birds, it was because she was extremely well coached by Hitchcock and his wife, who was involved in ALL aspects of Hitch’s productions and would have seen right away if something awful was happening. Tippi had around her people who could pinpoint out her strengths and push away her flaws. As for Marnie, I think the success for The Birds went over her head and affected her acting, making her think she was a genius and did not need any coaching anymore and so she rebuffed any important advices Hitch gave her. As Louise Latham’s anger toward Hedren is clear in this audio, it would be nice to hear what Veronica Cartwright felt about Hedren’s behaviour as they had worked on the Birds and Veronica was quite direct at how Hitch was a good man. As she said Tippi was awful on Marnie, maybe she has more blunt words regarding her co-star’s backstabbing behavior. Overall, there is a massive support for Hitchcock from everyone who worked around him and some medias neglected it out of a hate agenda. Which some people are foolish enough to believe because they don’t take the time to read multiple sources and they don’t use critical thinking skills when reading or watching something. And overall, I think that those who spat on Hitch are those who held grudges on him for petty reasons; either because he did not answer to their tantrums, because he saw how some were parasites (a frequent reality in showbiz), and because he did not want anything to do with individuals who did not respect him or those around them. I hope the documentary has other interviews as well. And it would be nice if the documentary was offered on Blu-Ray and on TV. It needs to be seen by many people.
